The International Customer Center of Pitsanuvej hospital coordinates with your insurance provider and facilitates guarantee of payment for your medical cost, saving you the hassle of paying upfront.

Outpatient Service

We can assist you in contacting your insurance provider. In some cases however Guarantee of Payment does not arrive in 24 hours.

Therefore, for OPD cases we recommend that you pay your medical expenses upfront and we will provide medical report and other relevant documents so you can file for reimbursement from your insurance provider later.

In contrary, you may inform your insurance provider in advance before getting treatment so that your insurance provider can contact us directly and provide us the guarantee of payment in advance saving you the hassle of paying upfront. 

Planned Inpatient Services  

If you plan to get treatment and provided that the inpatient medical service or treatment is covered by your plan, we can help you contact your insurance company in advance and seek guarantee of payment for you.

 In order to do this, please provide copies of the following:

  1. ID card
  2. Passport
  3. Insurance card and or certificate
Emergency/ Unplanned Inpatient Services

Upon hospital arrival, you will be asked to present your ID card, passport and insurance card. We will prepare a detailed medical report about your treatment and collect your investigation results and invoice. We will send these documents to your insurance provider to file a claim. Normally, Guarantee of Payment arrives within 24-48 hours. But there are times that insurance provider does not provide Guarantee of Payment within this time period for some possible reasons:

  • Different time zones, weekends or holidays.
  • Pre-existing medical conditions or exclusions
  • Terms and conditions of your insurance policy

If Guarantee of Payment is not produced by the time of your discharged, we require you to make a deposit or temporary payment for the incurred medical cost. When Guarantee of Payment arrives, we will contact you immediately and return your payment.

On the other hand, if you want to file for reimbursement from your insurance provider by yourself, you can pay upfront. Upon discharge, we will provide the documents needed for your reimbursement claim process.

Evacuation/ Repatriation

We provide assistance in seeking Guarantee of Payment or approval from your insurance provider in case of medical evacuation or repatriation.
