Endoscopic Procedures
• Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)
A diagnostic procedure to examine the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum for any abnormalities such as ulcers, inflammation, or tumors.
• Colonoscopy
A procedure to examine the colon (large intestine) for polyps, bleeding, or signs of colorectal cancer.
• Capsule Endoscopy
A non-invasive procedure in which the patient swallows a small capsule containing a camera to capture images of the digestive tract.
• Gastric Balloon Placement
A minimally invasive endoscopic treatment for weight loss by inserting a balloon into the stomach to reduce food intake.
• Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
A specialized endoscopy used to diagnose and treat conditions of the bile ducts, gallbladder, and pancreas.
• Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG)
A procedure to insert a feeding tube through the abdominal wall for patients unable to eat by mouth.
Specialized Diagnostic Tests
• FibroScan (Liver Elastography)
A quick and painless test to assess the degree of liver fat and fibrosis (scarring) without the need for a liver biopsy.
• Urea Breath Test for Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori)
A non-invasive breath test used to detect H. pylori infection, a common cause of gastritis and peptic ulcers.
• Stool Antigen Test for H. pylori
A convenient test to detect H. pylori infection through a stool sample.
